GATE 2019 – Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras will conduct GATE 2019 in online mode on February 2, 3, 9 and 10 for 24 papers. A new paper "Statistics" has been announced from this year. GATE 2019 is a national level post graduate entrance examination for admission to M.E./M.Tech and Ph.D. programmes at IITs, IISc, NITs, GFTIs and other Universities in India. GATE is an examination conducted jointly by the IISc, Bangalore and seven IITs on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB)-GATE.
Candidates will be able to select only one GATE paper for examination. The score card will be valid for a period of 3 years from the date of announcement of GATE result for M.Tech admissions. Various PSUs also offer recruitment based on the GATE performance of the candidates. The official notification for GATE 2019 has been released on July 6, 2018. The application form of GATE 2019 will be available from September 1, 2018. GATE 2019 will be conducted across 200 cities in India and six cities abroad. What's new in GATE 2019?
- A new paper "Statistics" with a code of "ST" has been introduced for GATE 2019.
- Candidates can apply online after the last date for an extended period on payment of a late fee. The late fee is Rs 500 if candidates apply after September 21 and October 1, 2018. For candidates appearing for the exam at foreign centres will have to pay a late fee of 20 USD.

GATE Eligibility Criteria 2019
There are some conditions that the candidates will be required to meet for GATE eligibility. The eligibility criteria of GATE 2019 which has to be satisfied by the candidates has been listed below:
- Age Limit – There is no age limit for GATE applicants.
- Nationality – The candidates should be of Indian nationality. Candidates belonging to Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia and United Arab Emirates will also be eligible for GATE 2019.
- Educational Requirement – All of the candidates should have completed or be in their final year of Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology (B.E./B.Tech) or Post-Graduate (M.Sc) degree in any relevant science subject.
- Pass Percentage – There is no minimum pass percentage in the qualifying degree while applying for GATE 2019.

Candidates can check the syllabus of GATE 2019 before commencing their preparation for the entrance examination. The GATE 2019 syllabus will be different according to the discipline selected and studied by the candidates during their qualifying examination. The topics and concepts covered by the candidates in their graduation level will mostly be present in the GATE syllabus. However, the syllabus for the General Aptitude section2019 will remain similar for all papers.GATE Mock Test
The authorities will release the mock test of GATE 2019 tentatively in the third week of November 2018. The candidates will be able to practice for the examination through the GATE 2019 mock test. The format of the examination will be reconstructed according to GATE 2018. Since the exam pattern will be similar, the candidates will be able to practice well.GATE Admit Card 2019
IIT Madras will be releasing the admit card of GATE 2019 in online mode on January 4. Using their GATE enrollment number or email id, registration id and DoB, the candidates will have to log in through GOAPS. The GATE 2019 admit card is an important document which has to be printed and produced at the examination centre. If any candidate fails to bring the admit card to the centre, then he/she will not be allowed to attempt the exam. Along with the admit card, a photo id proof also has to be brought. The score card of GATE 2019 will be available from March 20 to May 31, 2019. GATE Cutoff 2019
The cutoff of GATE 2019 is the minimum marks that the candidates will have to secure to qualify the examination. The cutoff acts as a screening process for admission into the various institutes offered M.Tech admissions through GATE. Careers360 will be releasing the college predictor of GATE 2019 tentatively after the results are announced. Candidates can use the college predictor to shortlist the colleges which will be available for admission based on the candidates' obtained scores/ranks in GATE 2019 examination. To use the college predictor, the candidates will have to log in using their Facebook, Google or registered account. IIT Madras will not be conducting a common counselling of GATE 2019. For admissions into the various institutes, the candidates will have to individually apply for allotment. Using the scores and ranks secured in the examination, the candidates will be able to apply for admissions and recruitment. However, common portals are available for those candidates who wish to apply for IIT and NIT admissions. Candidates who are interested in IITs will be able to apply through GATE COAP, and for NITs, the candidates will have to apply through CCMT.GATE COAP 2019
GATE Common Offer Acceptance (COAP) is a common portal through which GATE qualified candidates will be able to apply for admissions into IITs. Firstly, the candidates will have to register with their obtained GATE scores and select their IITs of their choice. After reviewing, the admission offers from the applied IITs will be listed out in the GATE COAP portal. The candidates will be able to select their preference from the set of offers and proceed with the admission process.
